About

The Australian Hartford Consortium of Gerontological Nursing Excellence (AusHCGNE) brings together gerontological and psychogeriatric nursing experts from universities across Australia.

We’re working to enhance the competency and capacity of nurses in Australia to provide quality care to older adults through:

  • supporting staff development
  • advancing gerontological nursing science
  • facilitating adoption of best practices
  • fostering leadership
  • designing and shaping policy.

Formed in 2016, this Australian Hartford nursing consortium is part US-based National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence.
