Preparing nursing to care for older adults now and into the future
The Australian Hartford Consortium of Gerontological Nursing Excellence (AusHCGNE) gathers experts in gerontological nursing from universities around Australia.
Our mission is to lead capacity building in Australian gerontological nursing education, practice, research and policy. We aim to develop capable leadership for those charged with providing high-quality care to older Australians into the future.
We know that by combining our expertise, we can draw on the strengths of each of the nursing schools to raise the profile of this vital nursing specialty, build teaching and academic capacity, and influence policy and practice.
