Dr Moira Dunsmore, Senior Lecturer, The University of Sydney
Dr Moira Dunsmore is a researcher with expertise in nursing, public health, and health social science. Her research focuses on the social experiences of older adults, especially those with dual sensory impairment (DSI). She explores social capital, stigma, caregiving relationships, healthcare access, and social networks for older adults with DSI. Moira leads a co-design study on integrated care models for people with DSI, supported by the Australian Association of Gerontology. Her book, ‘Dual Sensory Impairment: An Invisible Disability?’ aims to educate health professionals about DSI.
