Better Future Fridays September Edition | Collecting Data in the Home

Join us for Better Future Fridays, a monthly afternoon series where we explore key challenges and opportunities in shaping better digital futures. Each session features expert panels, interactive Q&A discussions, and informal networking over light refreshments on the terrace.

Please join us this month as our panel discusses their experiences of collecting data in people’s homes. The home is a rich site for digital media research, as it can reflect people’s everyday media use. It enables us to observe and engage with people and how digital technologies are integrated into their domestic routines, relationships, and spaces. We’ll talk through methodological and ethical considerations, risk, the challenges and the opportunities of research participants opening their homes to researchers.
