Nowshin Shyara Sharar is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr Samantha Dando and CIIC Adjunct Associate Professor Johanna Kenyon at Griffith University, where she is investigating the capsular polysaccharides biosynthesis genes outside the K locus in Acinetobacter baumannii genomes. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from BRAC University, Bangladesh and Master of Science degree from University of Malaya, Malaysia. Prior to joining CIIC Nowshin worked as a Lecturer in Microbiology at BRAC University, Bangladesh. She was awarded the QUT Postgraduate Research Award (QUTPRA) (International) and QUT HDR Tuition Fee Sponsorship for her studies at QUT.
