Join us with Pfizer in Sydney for discussions on the clinical trials landscape.Featuring a keynote presentation by Dr Bill Lam (Senior Director, Clinical Site Operations), followed by a panel discussion with Dr Krishan Thiru (Medical Director) and Andrew Thirlwell (Policy and Public Affairs Cluster Lead), facilitated by Prof Lyn Griffiths (Bridge Program Director), this event will offer valuable insights into Pfizer’s perspectives on the evolving clinical trial landscape, and how therapies progress from concept to patient through Australia’s clinical trial pathway.

Meet keynote presenter Dr Bill Lam
Over the 25 years, Bill Lam has taken up roles of increasing responsibility in Medical Affairs and Clinical Development. Bill moved to Pfizer HQ, New York in 2004 as Regional Medical Director of Japan/Asia in cardiovascular medicine. In 2009, he became the Clinical Development Lead of Emerging Markets for medicines in the treatment of heart & thromboembolic diseases, pain, Alzheimer’s disease, and haemophilia. In 2012, Bill was the Medical Affairs Lead of Asia, leading medical affairs initiatives for Pfizer’s innovative compound portfolio in internal medicine, inflammation & immunology and rare diseases. In 2017, Bill returned to Australia to lead the Global Site & Study Operations team who delivers Phase 1-3 global clinical trials in Australia and New Zealand.
