Want to take new pharmaceuticals to market? The Bridge Program provides the knowledge, skills and networks needed to successfully commercialise new pharmaceuticals. Delivered by QUT, the program is supported by a consortium of partners including leading pharmaceutical companies, universities, and industry affiliates. It offers training in the scientific, legal, financial, clinical, regulatory and reimbursement elements of pharmaceutical commercialisation. Online learning materials are complemented by a series of events, activities and seminars.

Who should apply?

Up to 100 participants are selected annually from across Australia. The program is suited to mid-career professionals looking to expand their commercialisation knowledge and networks, including:

  • researchers
  • scientists
  • entrepreneurs
  • legal practitioners (including IP and patents)
  • clinicians
  • venture capitalists
  • business development personnel
  • staff from regulatory and government agencies.

A background in pharmaceutical biotech and a demonstrated interest in commercialisation is essential.

Successful applicants are selected by members of our partner consortium, based on suitability to the program’s learning objectives, what the applicant will gain from the program, and the career stage they are in.

You should apply if you are based in Australia or New Zealand and:

  • are looking to gain the skills, business acumen and networks to enhance your biotech, drug, vaccine or research to market in Australia
  • want to enhance your pitching skills to effectively communicate with industry
  • are available to attend the three-day Symposium in June, 2022.
