A note-taking tool that allows geologists to use voice, action, and location to take notes during their virtual fieldwork.
Expedition Tablet
A tablet for players to utilise, primarily for notetaking purposes. It contains three applications.
1. Investigate Summary: A screen displaying the time, location and other details of the current trip. Information is generated based on template trip briefs that can be pr epared beforehand (i.e. preparing a cloudy day-time trip to Noosa Headlands). There are also user-input capabilities for players to write up the aim/details about the trip.
2. General Note: An app to take notes either through a keyboard or a mic.
3. Timeline: A page containing an extensive timeline of all events. The timeline keeps track of various types information; general notes, field events, and pictures taken. Each event is associated with a time and location of where it took place, information that can be viewed at any time by the user by navigating through the timeline. Additionally the timeline includes capability for importing/exporting csv data.
Generic Input system
A drag and drop object that provides a generic input system. A world space keyboard (developed by Mackenzie) or microphone can be used as long as those systems are also in the scene (KeyboardManager and AppVoiceExperience).
