Brandon V. Syiem is a Human-Computer Interaction researcher with interests in extended reality (XR), cognitive psychology and artificial intelligence. Brandon completed his Master of Science (Computer Science) degree and PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2017 and 2023 respectively. His research focuses on the cognitive and perceptual effects of XR applications on users, and how tasks in XR applications can be supported through intelligent agents and design. He is currently a research fellow at the Queensland University of Technology focusing on research to support collaborative scientific workflows and analysis.
