Rohan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Contact Lens and Visual Optics Laboratory, Centre for Eye and Vision Research, and a Supervising Optometrist in the QUT Myopia Control Clinic within the QUT Optometry Clinic.

Rohan completed his PhD in 2020 with his thesis entitled “Ocular characteristics of non-myopic and myopic children during relaxed and active accommodation”. His research interests include visual optics, refractive error development, and myopia control, and he is currently exploring the effect of low concentration atropine on accommodation and binocular vision and undertaking a retrospective analysis of myopia control treatments. Rohan is also an Associate Editor for Clinical and Experimental Optometry, Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and has previously served on the Board of Optometry Queensland Northern Territory for three terms, with one as Vice President.

Additional information

Rohan continues to practise full-scope clinical optometry in a private optometry practice.
