Gold Coast Hosts RANZCO Qld Meeting

2018 was the Gold Coast’s year to host the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO), Queensland Branch, Annual Scientific Meeting. Rebecca Lillian Cooper Grant Awarded to Dr David Alonso-Caneiro

In 2018, seven medical areas have received research funding from the Rebecca Lillian Cooper Medical Research Foundation; These areas are: Brain Sciences: Psychiatry and Neurology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Geriatrics, Lung Disease, Rheumatology and Vision Sciences. The foundation supports early-career researchers, with the specific objective of advancing, promoting and encouraging medical research in Australia.

NSTSS Teachers and NYSF Students Visit QUT CLVOL in January 2018

On the 7th January, the Contact Lens and Visual Optics Lab (CLVOL) hosted 36 secondary school teachers from the National Science Teachers Summer School (NSTSS); and later that same week on Friday, 12th January, the lab hosted 45 high school students from the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF).
