
MSc(Optom) MUMS, BSc MUMS
Azam graduated from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS), Mashhad, Iran with Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in 2005. Following her graduation, Azam commenced working in private practice. Azam received her Masters Degree (MSc) in Optometry in 2017 from MUMS, Mashhad, Iran. From 2017 through to 2023, Azam worked as a clinical optometrist in Iran. During this same six-year period, Azam completed several research studies with her work being rewarded and published in various journals and book chapters.
In June 2023, Azam commenced a doctoral research degree with QUT’s Contact Lens and Visual Optics Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Scott Read (Principal Supervisor) and Associate Professor Stephen Vincent (Associate Supervisor), in Brisbane, Australia. The research title of Azam’s doctorate is the investigation of the effects of different wavelengths of light on myopia.
