The QUT Contact lens and Visual Optics Laboratory (CLVOL) was well-represented in Birmingham, UK in September, with 6 members from the lab attending the 2017 International Myopia Conference (IMC) Annual Meeting. The 2017 IMC Meeting was held from 14 September to 17 September 2017.
QUT CLVOL Members attending the 2017 IMC were Michael Collins, Scott Read, Hosein Yazdi, Sekar Ulaganathan, Samaneh Delshad and Pryntha Rajasingam. Sekar and Samaneh were both awarded IMC Travel Grants in the amount of £800. The IMC Meeting is the largest myopia conference held on an international platform, and all 6 CLVOL members were able to witness first-hand, new, innovative and cutting-edge, myopia research. Each CLVOL member also had the opportunity to present their own research findings and to meet with fellow myopia researchers from around the world.
