QUT CLVOL’s very own PhD student, Rohan Hughes, was an invited attendee at the Vision 2020 event for Rising Stars in Eye Health and Vision Care, which was held at Parliament House in Canberra on 12 to 13 September 2017.
Rohan represented Queensland & the Northern Territory as one of the future rising stars and leaders in eye health and vision care. Rohan had the opportunity to also attend an advocacy workshop along with 11 others from various other Australian states and territories, about the importance of political engagement and effective policy for the optometry profession in the future.
