Dr. Yvette Ong recently completed her Ph.D. in Microbiology from The University of Queensland (UQ) in 2024, which focused on understanding the complex regulatory network of key virulence factors in uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC).
Yvette works with Professor Greg Cook in the Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions lab group, investigating the mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and strategies to counteract the problem of rapidly increasing AMR in bacteria.
