Dr Karoline Raven completed her PhD in Immunology from the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB), UQ in 2025. Her research focused on understanding macrophage antimicrobial signalling pathways. She studied the role of mitochondrial fission and lipid droplets in macrophage antimicrobial responses. Prior to commencing her PhD, Karoline obtained a Bachelor of Medical Science from The Australian National University (ANU) in 2019. She graduated with First Class Honours from the John Curtin School of Medical Science (JSCMR) ANU in 2020.
Karoline is currently working in the Kenna group at the Centre of Immunology and Infection Control. She is researching the immunological profile of Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).
