Jialu Wang is a PhD student in the Ecosystem Change and Population Health Research Group at Queensland University of Technology.

Guided by Professor Wenbiao Hu and Dr. Javier Cortes Ramirez, Jialu focuses on the relationship between environmental factors and childhood asthma in Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science at Queensland University of Technology in 2020 and earned a Master of Epidemiology from the University of Queensland in 2022. Her master’s dissertation investigated asthma risk in Australian children across different climate zones. Currently, her PhD research uses exploratory spatio-temporal models to study how climate and environment interact to affect asthma prevalence in Australian children. This work is supported by a Queensland University of Technology Postgraduate Research Award (QUTPRA).
