Kexin Jiao

    Senior Research Assistant

Kexin Jiao is an EV expert who will be developing therapeutic extracellular vesicles (EVs) for antiviral applications with Dr Adi Idris at CIIC. She holds an MPhil in Dentistry and a Master in Molecular Biology from the University of Queensland, as well as a BSc in Biology from Kansas State University, USA.

Kexin has over four years of research experience in regenerative medicine, molecular biology, and EV-based therapeutics. Her MPhil project focused on the osteogenic potential of osteoblast-derived EVs using 3D bioprinting and mesenchymal stromal cells. She has expertise in EV isolation and uptake assays, RNA extraction, qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting, confocal microscopy, Micro-CT imaging, and in vivo rodent handling. Her work bridges clinical and laboratory settings with a focus on translational research
