Tal completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Griffith University, the University of Queensland, and Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where he earned his PhD on plant nutrient pathways and molecular tools for crop improvement. He is now a Research Fellow in the Centre for Agriculture and the Bioeconomy at QUT. His research applies RNAi nanotechnology and functional genomics to develop stress-tolerant, nutrient-rich crops. With expertise in biofortification, trait discovery, and engineering plants as biofactories, Tal’s work aims to deliver scalable technologies that enhance crop resilience, nutrition, and sustainability.
