Hannah Churton is a PhD candidate whose research explores policy frameworks for advancing an industry for high-value bioproducts from a horticultural loss feedstock. The study is supported by the End Food Waste Cooperative Research Centre. Hannah comes from a policy background, with extensive experience in international development policy working for the Australian Government, international organisations and the not-for-profit sector, bringing this expertise to her current focus on sustainable food systems transitions. She is passionate about reducing waste, exploring opportunities to feed the global population ‘better’ and translating complex sustainability research into actionable policy solutions.
