Background:
Cell biology, biotechnology, melt electrospinning, biofabrication
Current Research:
I’m currently enrolled in the International Dual Masters Degree in Biofabrication. My project based at QUT (2017) involves comparing manufacturing techniques to prepare an osteogenic composite material; composed of strontium-substituted bioactive glass and the biodegradable, biocompatible polymer, polycaprolactone. Additionally, I will be fabricating direct-write melt electrospun scaffolds using this composite material to conduct an in vitro investigation into its osteogenic capabilities, with the aim to translate the study into preclinical trials. In 2018, I am now completing my second year at University Medical Centre Utrecht in The Netherlands.
Interests:
Volleyball, guitar, yoga, bush walking and attending concerts.
