The BTM group was delighted to be visited by Senator Amanda Stoker and her Principal Adviser Richard Williams.
During the brief tour, Dr Sean Powell and PhD students Maureen Ross and Naomi Paxton shared some of the BTM group’s current research projects as well as the Herston Biofabrication Institute initiative. From 3D printed masks for children with burns, to patient-specific prosthetic ears and tissue engineering treatments for microtia and other tissue loss, Senator Stoker even tried a VR headset to view a 3D printer in the “Hospital of the Future”.
