The multidisciplinary expertise of the group enables delivery of evidence-based and data-driven holistic solutions to safe, efficient, sustainable and resilient transport systems – now and into the future.
The Transport Engineering Group within the Faculty of Engineering includes researchers specialising in:
- Transport network modelling and simulation
- Transport planning and travel behaviour
- Road safety engineering and NextGen transport safety
- Public transport demand and operations
- Intelligent transport system
- Traffic operation and control
- Transport equity
- Transport systems analysis and evaluation
- Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS), and Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV)
The Group currently involves over 45 postgraduate students solving real world transport problems.
