Syam completed his PhD in Physics from Universiti Malaysia Pahang in 2017. Prior joining to Deepak’s group, Syam was working as a research fellow in Graphene and Advanced 2D Materials Research Group (GAMRG), Sunway University, Malaysia. His research focuses on the synthesis of various metal oxides and their composites; tailoring the porosity, and surface area of activated carbons synthesized from biowastes for energy storage applications.
