Thilini is a Master of Philosophy student at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. She is a recipient of Research Centre Scholarship (QUT-Centre for Materials Science Linkage Spark Program) to undertake her research. Prior joining Dubal’s group, she received her Bachelor of Science Honours (Polymer Chemistry research focus) degree from University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), Sri Lanka in 2022, after successful completion of the degree under the subject combination of Chemistry, Polymer Science and Technology and Physics in the same university. She has industrial work experience at JK garments Pvt Ltd and at Ansell, before starting her MPhil in August 2023.
