Agenda:
MTHF is having our first overnight research retreat with a focus on the practice side of research, for our MTHF research group members. This self-directed retreat is an opportunity for senior to early career academics and HDR candidates to come together and engage in critical HASS scholarship and practice around the social – ecological justice issues that define our group. We will share meals, conversations, walks and lessons learned; working individually, or taking the opportunity to collaborate and/or co-create Non Traditional Research Outcomes (and Traditional Research Outcomes as is appropriate). The retreat supports personal reflection, human-to-human and human-to-more-than-human collaborations; engaging with a light footprint and being-with the (remaining endemic) Samford forest reserves.
Interactive sessions include:
- Keith Armstrong – Carbon Dating and related work – artist talk and walk
- Marcus Foth – The Practice of Activism
- Sabine Carter – Stop Motion animation workshop with the More Than Human
- Jen Seevinck – Making with the More-Than-Human II (continued from ISEA 2024 workshop)
Workshop agenda currently being finalised.
