
Project description
In order to break the tissue penetration barrier of external light sources, Cerenkov radiation will be used as an in situ light source. Photoactive molecules will be synthesised and analysed to determine the viability of using Cerenkov radiation to drive photochemical reactions.
Short Biography
Julian received his BBiotech(Hons) (2018) [Nanotechnology and Innovation Management] from UQ, Australia. He completed his honours project under the supervision of Professor Lisbeth Grondahl studying alginate hydrogels with hydroxyapatite nanoparticles. Julian then worked as an analytical chemist at Mylan until 2020 before starting his PhD in September.
