
Dr Shahnewaz Ali has completed his PhD in 2022 from school of Electrical Engineering and Robotics, Queensland University of Technology, Australia. His PhD thesis title was Robotic Vision in Knee Arthroscopy. In this area Dr Shahnewaz Ali has published 11 articles in prestigious journals, conference, and book series. He has received two best paper awards from international conferences and secured 3rd place in ACRV (Australian Centre for Robotic Vision) Summer School competition. Later, he worked as a research fellow in the area of agricultural robotics. Currently, his invention is in the process of filling patent.
Prior to his PhD, Dr Shahnewaz Ali was engaged in industry as a lead of R&D in Embedded system and Automation. Dr Shahnewaz Ali earned his M.Sc. in Computing System and B.Sc. in Computer Engineering. His research interest and works include Ubiquitous Computing, Intelligent Embedded System, Vision and Signal processing, Medical and Agricultural Robotics. So far, he worked with cloud computing, sensory system, wireless sensor network and RF technology, embedded systems, home automation protocols and standards, digital signal processing, optics, deep learning, and robotic vision technology-semantic segmentation, classification, detection, fault estimation and dependable system. He also interested in quantum computing and programming.
