Graduating from a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2019 with a distinction and at the top of his class, Luke is a practicing and Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia. Luke specialises in neurological conditions, with a particular passion for stroke rehabilitation. Completing a Masters of Philosophy, Luke was able to incorporate his Clinical Exercise Physiology knowledge with proteomic techniques in a project investigating the ability of a novel exercise intervention to generate neuroprotective and neuroreparative peptides. Over his short academic career, Luke has held a number of committee positions within QUT, including on the Faculty of Health Academic Misconduct Committee (2020 – 2022), the Faculty of Health Student Advisory Committee (2019), and the Sports Advisory Committee (2016). Additionally, Luke was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for Sporting Excellence in 2016 following his selection and subsequent international competitive representation as an Australian athlete.
