Two PhD scholarships are available as part of Professor Kerrie Sadiq’s ARC Future Fellowship ‘International Tax Avoidance in the Digital Age: A Blueprint for Allocating Multinational Enterprise Profits’ located within the Faculty of Business and Law.
The successful candidates will become part of Kerrie’s international tax research group dedicated to the development of an optimal formula apportionment-based model for allocating income of enterprises across borders. The PhD students will be an integral part of a research team investigating international taxation in the digital age. The students will work on projects to address the erosion of the tax base created by profit shifting by multinational entities operating in Australia taking into account the tax challenges of the digitisation of the economy.
Successful applications will receive:
- a living allowance of $28,597 each year, indexed annually
- international students will also receive a tuition fee sponsorship.
