Rachel Chalmers commenced her PhD Candidature in February 2021 with the Biomechanics and Spinal Research Group (BSRG). She was previously awarded a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Medical) at QUT and completed her honours project with the BSRG. Rachel has also attended Utrecht University (Netherlands), completing a summer school program in regenerative medicine, 3D printing and biofabrication. Her interests are in 3D modelling and additive manufacturing of custom-fabricated medical devices. Rachel’s project is focused on the design and validation of a workflow to additive manufacture bespoke spinal orthoses.
