
Pouya Rajaee is a PhD candidate at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where his research focuses on 3D freeze printing of cellular structures for bone tissue engineering. He is passionate about combining advanced materials science with innovative structures and manufacturing techniques to address key challenges in bone tissue engineering. Pouya holds a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, specializing in polymeric materials through both coursework and research. Since 2019, he has served as a thesis advisor for several Master’s projects, focusing on the development and optimization of polymeric materials for environmental and medical applications. His work has resulted in nearly 20 publications in high-impact journals, including Composite Part B: Engineering, Chemical Engineering Journal, Additive Manufacturing, and others. Pouya has also gained valuable teaching experience as a teaching assistant and sessional lecturer in specialized mechanical engineering courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Outside of academia, Pouya enjoys cooking, singing, and playing video games.
