Image Quantification of Ocular Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA)

Samaneh Hashemi is currently pursuing a Higher Degree Research program as a full-time student at the School of Mechanical, Medical, and Process Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. She earned a physics degree in 2011, graduating as the top-ranked student from the University of Guilan in Rasht, Iran. During her master’s studies in medical radiation engineering at Tehran’s Shahid Beheshti University, Samaneh actively participated in various research groups focused on medical imaging techniques and radiation treatment. Her scholarly contributions have been featured in reputable journals. Samaneh officially commenced her Ph.D. studies as a full-time student at QUT in May 2023, with her research centering on the utilization of optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) images for the quantification of blood-related parameters. This interdisciplinary project involves collaboration between QUT’s Engineering and Health departments, specifically the School of Optometry and Vision Science.
