Within the translational research continuum, we conduct fundamental research, rigorous preclinical studies and early clinical trials, and facilitate translation to clinical or industrial applications.

Foundation research studies

Fundamental studies (in silico, in vitro, in vivo) to discover novel biomechanical or biomedical tools or methods, including new materials or molecules, mathematical algorithms or AI.

Preclinical and early human studies

Advancing vital research for new methods of diagnosis, treatment, care and prevention through preclinical studies towards early clinical trial safety and efficacy (Phase I, II).

Translation into practice

Facilitating development to clinical adoption through new devices and/or drugs, evidence- based guidelines and training, policy implementation and commercial returns, including spin-out companies or licensing deals.
