Olivia is a clinical co-ordinator and project manager in the Cough Asthma and Airways Research Group (CAARG) led by Professor Anne Chang. She has a diverse background and skill set, including support work, cell and molecular biology, translational research, and science communication.
She graduated with her PhD from Otago University in 2023, which investigated clinical and molecular factors in early-onset bowel cancer.
Her current role involves co-ordinating research trials (BETTER and LEAP-Cough) which aim improve the clinical management and health outcomes of children with chronic wet cough and bronchiectasis.
Olivia is passionate about improving health inequities and using evidence-based research to inform clinical care and decision making.
In her spare time, she enjoys camping, hiking and exploring the outdoors with her German Shepherd.
