Assoc Prof Ian Brent Masters is a senior Respiratory Paediatrician at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. He has special interest in bronchoscopic techniques to diagnose and assess paediatric lung disorders such as bronchiectasis and tracheomalacia. Brent has been an important leader of Children’s Health Queensland outreach specialist respiratory paediatric services to regional and remote areas of Queensland – recently through the Indigenous Respiratory Outreach Care program. Brent has an important role in teaching and mentoring junior medical staff in respiratory paediatric medicine.
