Grant assessment criteria

The ARA Consumer Research Advisory Committee will independently assess each proposal based on its merits, value for money, potential research impact, and other metrics as below:

  1. The project aims and expected actionable outcomes for retailers.
  2. Proposed method that will address the research problem.
  3. The time frames for delivery – a maximum of 12 weeks.
  4. Data collection efficiency – projects where the researcher proposes to collect their own data considered more favourably.
  5. How the researcher plans to engage with the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) and their members.
  6. Value for money (projects must be under $10,000). Travel costs not normally funded.
  7. Researcher’s qualifications and experience.

These funding opportunities are only available for permanent academic researchers at QUT.
