Youth Voices was co-designed with diverse groups of young people, including Aboriginal and/Torres Strait Islander girls from a community-based organisation, young people in detention and young people in out-of-home care. Findings from the project are now being used to inform a number of direct outcomes including being a major driver of Anglicare Southern Queensland’s ‘Queensland Home Stretch’ campaign, a national movement that seeks the option of extended care to the age of 21 for young people transitioning out of statutory care and the establishment of a young people’s residential care advisory group.
Further examples of outcomes can be found at Anglicare Southern Queensland.
