YuMi Deadly Maths a hit in Hughenden

A small school in outback Queensland is having great success using a unique teaching program to help students learn maths and numeracy.

YuMi Deadly Maths is a professional development program for teachers to help them teach maths in a more interactive and engaging way. It was developed by researchers at the Queensland University of Technology YuMi Deadly Centre and has been rolled out at more than 200 schools.

This includes Hughenden State School in the state’s north west, where the program was rolled out in 2014 and 2015.
