After 5 years of hard work, we’re thrilled to celebrate the success of our ARC bid, securing over $5.6 million in industry funding and support from the ARC. This is only the beginning of our journey to transform the water industry!
The Pre-establishment Industry Engagement Workshop at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) was packed with exciting discussions and insights. We had the privilege of hearing from our industry partners, like SCCWRP Elizabeth Fassman-Beck, who shared their inspiring work on illicit discharge detection, and DESI Reinier Mann, who spoke about pollution load monitoring to protect the Great Barrier Reef 🌊🐠. These conversations reminded us of the critical role we all play in shaping a cleaner, smarter water future.
Our workshop was also a chance to dive into our next steps. We had great talks on governance models and research programs, fueled by the valuable input from both industry partners and researchers. Special thanks to Jonathan Roberts and Merryn Ballantyne from the Australian Cobotics Centre for sharing their experiences from other successful ITRPs—your insights were gold! 🙌
We proudly showcased our facilities at the Water Innovation and Smart Environment (WISE Lab) at QUT, and it was awesome to see our attendees explore what we’re building here.
