Water Innovation and Smart Environment (WISE) lab embodies the meaning of ‘WISE’ by combining intelligent management with innovative research. Our team focuses on smart, sustainable solutions for water treatment and environmental challenges. With a commitment to energy-efficient and resource-conscious approaches, we aim to build ‘wise’ systems that meet the growing needs of modern water infrastructures.
  • Research

WISE lab focuses on emerging wastewater treatment and resource recovery technologies, aiming to tackle the growing challenges of expanding water systems. Our goal is to evaluate and optimize engineered solutions that promote energy conservation and efficient nutrient reduction, paving the way for resource-recovery-based wastewater treatment in urban water service systems.
  • Facilities

The WISE Lab is a state-of-the-art environmental engineering laboratory specializing in water treatment research. Equipped with a wide range of cutting-edge facilities, the lab supports innovative experimentation and advanced analysis in wastewater treatment and sustainable environmental solutions. Our lab is equipped with advanced facilities, including digital PCR (dPCR), microscope, biosafety cabinet, anaerobic chamber, spectrophotometers and bioreactors. These cutting-edge instruments enable us to conduct precise and innovative experiments, supporting our mission to advance sustainable solutions in water treatment and environmental engineering.
