    Kate Thomson is a Senior Lecturer in Work Integrated Learning at the Faculty of Health Sciences, the University of Sydney. Her research centres on the professional development of students and university teachers (academics and clinical educators) in higher education. She has been part of teams that have earned over $190,000 in grants, including two national competitive grants from the Office for Learning and Teaching, one where she was lead. She has experience developing indicators of teaching quality at the national level and managing a student surveys system at the institutional level. She has co-led revisions to existing University surveys and the design and implementation of new quality measures in response to faculty, institutional, and government quality assurance agendas.
