The Wellbeing Matters Project enabled the collaborative development of a Wellbeing Framework for Action based on a whole-school research study. The framework provides an holistic approach to enhancing wellbeing within the school community and is grounded in five key areas of actions against five contexts/categories:
Actions
|
Staff or student context
|
The Wellbeing Framework for Action can be used alongside existing school-based approaches to wellbeing as a targeted, action-focused and mapped strategy for wellbeing enhancement.
Implementation can be guided by these questions:
- How does <area of need> relate to wellbeing in our context?
- How do students and staff in our context experience wellbeing relative to <area of need>
- What specific actions can we take to address or enhance these key areas of need identified?
- Now that we’ve mapped the areas of need to our context, is anything missing?
(Don’t forget to go back to the students for authentic input and contribution, not just consultation).
