Saranya Ilango is a Civil Engineering Graduate with a Bachelor of technology degree from GRI university, India. She did her Master of Technology in Engineering Degree from the Vellore Institute of Technology, India . Before starting her PhD journey at QUT, she worked as a Assistant Professor at the Sharda University and she has four years experience in research and academics and worked as a Design Engineer for three years. Saranya joined the Wind and Fire Engineering Lab in February, 2023 as a Doctoral Student and her research is based on Examining the Thermal and Structural Efficiency of Steel Structural Elements subjected to Fire Conditions.
