Kalana Naveen is a Civil Engineering graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Honours) degree from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He worked as a Temporary Instructor at the University of Moratuwa for one year before beginning his PhD journey at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Kalana joined the Wind and Fire Engineering Lab in February 2025, and his doctoral research focuses on the Numerical and experimental investigation of cold-formed steel top-hat section trusses used in floor and roof applications.
