Ifthaz Hameed is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate with the Bachelor of the Science of Engineering Honours Degree from the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. Before commencing his PhD career at QUT, he worked as a Lecturer, Assistant Lecturer and Demonstrator at the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka for nearly four years. Ifthaz joined the Wind and Fire Engineering Lab in February 2024 as a Doctoral Student and his research is centered on Assessing the Building Resilience to Bushfires using Computational Fluid Dynamics Modelling.
