Fatheen Hisham is a Civil Engineering Graduate with a Bachelor of the Science of Engineering Honours Degree from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Before starting his PhD, Fatheen worked as a Civil Engineer in the industry for nearly two months and employed as a Research Assistant for nearly one year. His Doctoral research focuses on Fire Resistance of LSF Floor Ceiling Systems Made of Lipped Channel Sections, aiming to improve fire safety in structural design collaborating with industry leaders like NASH, BlueScope Steel, and Dynamic Steel Frame.
