Birunthan Perinpalam is a Civil Engineering Graduate with a Bachelor of the Science of Engineering Honours Degree from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He completed Diploma of Project Management at the Kent Institute Australia. Before his PhD journey at QUT, he worked as a Site Engineer, Project Design Engineer and Civil Project Engineer for nearly four years in the Industry. Burinthan’s Doctoral Research focuses on Developing Bushfire Shutter Systems capable of protecting Buildings to from Ember Penetration and having good Insulation properties to reduce heat transfer through the external envelope of a Building.
