Current project

Poly- or Per – Fluoro Alkly Substances (PFAS) are man-made chemicals and are persistent in the environment. They are organic pollutants and ubiquitous. They are used in water repellent fabric, non-stick cookware, firefighting foams. They can contaminate the soil and water resources. There is evidence that they can cause harmful effects to humans. This research finds the fate and distribution of these toxicants in the environment. A remediation method is important to manage PFAS in the environment. The study will develop a method for remediation of the contaminated soil and water to avoid from harmful effect.
