    Background
    Dr Stephen Vincent graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Optometry) with first class honours in 2004 and worked as a clinical optometrist for two years before commencing work at Clinical Vision Research Australia within the Victorian College of Optometry. In 2008 he returned to QUT to begin postgraduate studies in the Contact Lens and Visual Optics Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Michael Collins. His PhD thesis examined the ocular parameters associated with asymmetric refractive error development and received the 2011 QUT Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award. Following a post doctoral research fellowship at QUT, he commenced as a lecturer in the School of Optometry and Vision Science. He teaches primarily in the Master of Optometry course and coordinates the Vision Rehabilitation Centre (low vision clinic) within the QUT Health Clinics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, the Australian College of Optometry and the British Contact Lens Association. Dr Vincent’s current research interests include the visual optics of contact lenses and refractive error development.
